Rockets, Chris Bosh continue to discuss a max deal

While they wait on LeBron James to make a free agent decision, the Rockets and Chris Bosh are continuing to lay the groundwork for a deal.

Like most players on the free agent market, Chris Bosh appears to be waiting for LeBron James to choose where he will sign. That doesn't, however, mean Bosh is sitting around doing nothing. The Houston Rockets already offered him a four-year maximum contract and the two sides continue to discuss a potential deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

According to the report, Bosh's representatives and the Rockets met on Wednesday. With the max offer already on the table, the two sides would seemingly be working on the fine details that would bring Bosh to Houston should James decide to leave Miami. The Rockets offered Bosh a four-year deal worth a reported $88 million. Houston hasn't sat back in free agency in an effort to lure Bosh away from the Heat, even before James makes his decision. That hasn't worked yet, with Bosh appearing to prefer to return to Miami if James does, even if it means at a lower salary than what he'd make in Houston.

James is the big free agent domino waiting to fall and once he agrees to a deal, there could be a flurry of action. Bosh would arguably become the next-best player on the market and Houston appears to be in prime position to add him if Miami drops out of the picture.
