Detroit Pistons forward Greg Monroe is one of two well-regarded restricted free agents engaged in negotiation battles. Monroe and Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe have left their agents to do the bargaining, but on Sunday Monroe responded to some questions on Twitter about why he hasn't accepted a reported offer from Detroit.
NBA news roundup: Greg Monroe squashes free agency rumors
Greg Monroe went to Twitter to squash a few rumors about rejected offers from the Pistons, while John Wall admits he didn’t think he got a fair shake with Team USA.

"@millerfootball5: Come on @M10OSE how can you reject a 5 year 60 million deal" cant reject anything that was not offered to me...carry on
— Greg Monroe (@M10OSE) August 10, 2014 @IamSimonHanna wasnt offered that either...
— Greg Monroe (@M10OSE) August 10, 2014 Monroe spoke to SI.com in depth about his trip to Africa for the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders campaign and briefly touched on his free agency there. Basically, he’s been patiently waiting the process out.
The Pistons apparently offered Monroe a deal that would have made him Detroit’s highest-paid player. Monroe might be coy on the Twitter machine about the situation simply because he’s letting his agent handle the details, but there still seems to be a lot of progress needed for his free agency to end.
Wall finds motivation from being cut
As one of the first players cut from the USA Basketball's 2014 World Cup squad, Washington Wizards guard John Wall isn't pleased. Of course he would want to make the team, but he told CSN Washington he didn't feel like he got a fair shake.
Asked if he was given a fair shot to make the final 12-player roster, Wall said, “Nah, I don’t think so, but it’s a part of the game. I’m just happy to have the opportunity to be there and represent my country. I wish them the best of luck and hope they can win gold.”
Wall's openness about his disappointment isn't uncovered territory for Wizards fans. In 2006, guard Gilbert Arenas voiced displeasure about being cut from Team USA and took it quite a bit further than Wall, vowing to get revenge against USA Basketball assistants Mike D'Antoni and Nate McMillan -- that came with a mixed bag of results.
Wall isn’t taking his disappointment that far. Still, he’s using the sting of being dropped as motivation.
”You want to make every team you try out for. When you don’t, it’s more motivation for me.
“Not even (against) just those (Team USA point guards), but the NBA, period. I guess I’m overlooked again. I guess have to prove myself one more time.”
Allen still undecided
Free agent guard Ray Allen was reportedly set on making a return to the NBA and holding off on retirement, but now he's apparently unsure of what he'll do next. Allen's agent told Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski that his client hasn't made up his mind yet.
If he does return from another season, it's believed that Allen could be tempted by LeBron James and join the Cavaliers for a run at another ring.
Harrington off to China
Former Washington Wizards forward Al Harrington has signed a one-year deal with the Fujian SBS Xunxing Sturgeons, reports Jared Zwerling. The official announcement could come on Monday, though Harrington's time in D.C. likely isn't over. He still is hoping to become a coach for the Wizards down the road.
Harrington was a double-digit scorer from his fourth NBA season through his 14th. In the past two years, however, he's only played in 44 total games with the Orlando Magic and, most recently, the Wizards. He averaged 6.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 2013-14.
