The Sacramento Kings have agreed to ship Jason Terry to the Houston Rockets in a deal that will open up salary cap space for the team, reports Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Jason Terry expected to be traded from Kings to Rockets
The Houston Rockets will ship non-guaranteed contracts to Sacramento in exchange for the veteran guard.

Houston is expected to send forward Alonzo Gee and perhaps other non-guaranteed contracts to Sacramento, which will waive the players to gain a bit of cap relief and roster space. The Kings are also expected to include two second-round picks in the trade, one of which is by way of the New York Knicks, according to Wojnarowski's sources.
Terry didn't play for the Kings last season after being dealt to them in a midseason trade from Brooklyn. The 36-year-old shooting guard could provide a great deal of outside shooting and leadership to a Rockets squad that will also rely on young shooting guard Troy Daniels to back up James Harden. Terry could also step into a point guard spot to compliment starter Patrick Beverley and new backup Ish Smith, who is a liability as far as spacing the floor.
Terry's most significant success came as a bench sparkplug for the Dallas Mavericks, and that adds to a building rivalry between the two Texas teams. Since leaving the Mavs after the 2011-12 season, Terry played for the Celtics and was part of the deal that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Nets last summer.
In 35 games with Brooklyn last season, Terry averaged 4.5 points and 1.6 assists while shooting 38 percent from three-point range. He is in the final year of his contract and will be paid $5.4 million in 2014-15.
Wojnarowski reports the deal will take some time to go through because of contractual restrictions.
