NBA schedule and results: Pistons complete second half comeback to beat Raptors

The Pistons just don’t lose anymore. The Toronto Raptors got out to a 12-point lead by the end of the first quarter Monday, but Detroit’s offense scored 66 points in the second half to steal another one. “Steal” is used literally there because the play above is how the game ended.

The Raptors inbounded the ball in the backcourt down three with six seconds left. Kyle Lowry tried to bring the ball up to get his team one more chance at the tie, but Brandon Jennings had other ideas. The Pistons win again.

The Magic are destroying the Bulls through three quarters. Forget watching the game, just stare at this Vine over and over.

Derrick Rose sat out the Bulls’ last game with soreness in his left knee. It sure looks like he’s healthy now.

Kevin Garnett fouled Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard kindasorta pushed him back. Then it was ON:

“ON” in the NBA sense, ya know. Nothing much really happened, but Garnett got ejected for throwing the ball and headbutting Howard’s face parts. Dwight merely got a technical for his retaliation.

The Pistons have been on fire lately, mostly because they play stopped making plays like this one.

The overall numbers reveal a team that’s suffering on both ends of the floor, and badly needs to figure things out soon.

Some of these problems might be ironed out by the pending Jeff Green trade, but the team’s issues with protecting the rim cause far more concern. Early in the season, nobody could score against Memphis’ Gasol-led interior defense, but in recent weeks, few teams have been as porous near the rim.
