Ariana Grande will perform at halftime in the 2015 NBA All-Star Game, the league announced Thursday. The 21-year-old former Nickelodeon star is a Grammy-nominated artist who has exploded into the scene with hit songs like Bang Bang from her platinum-selling album My Everything. Grande is the first artist since Michael Jackson to have three songs in the top six of Billboard Digital songs chart.
Ariana Grande to perform for 2015 NBA All-Star halftime show
The 21-year-old pop star will headline the entertainment portion of the All-Star Game.

The halftime show has become a big attraction during the All-Star weekend as some of the biggest pop artists in the industry have been featured. Pharrell Williams was the headliner last year and Alicia Keys before him. This is another milestone in Grande’s short, but accomplished, career. There usually are surprise performers at the event, so there could be more announcements to come regarding the entertainment.
The All-Star Game will be held at the Madison Square Garden Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised by TNT.
