Memphis Grizzlies guard Vince Carter was taken out of a game against the Denver Nuggets in the second quarter after suffering an apparent lower body injury. Carter has been taken out of the game with what the team is calling a left foot injury. He will not return and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

The 38-year-old Carter is in his 17th NBA season and his first with Memphis. He’s coming off the bench to score 6.1 points per game on 33.6 percent shooting while averaging nearly 17 minutes per game.
Carter has 81 games each of the last two seasons, both with the Dallas Mavericks. While Carter’s numbers have slipped across the board this season, he’s still capable of making a highlight reel play.
