These are not your father’s Los Angeles Lakers, or even your big brother’s Lakers. Kobe Bryant is old and out for the season with a shoulder injury, the defense is terrible and the days of Showtime on the fast break are long gone.
Instead, the Lakers are just kind of going through the motions, making players like this one commonplace. The Lakers are a proud franchise and a safe bet to turn it around eventually, but it’s not going to happen anytime soon.
