After an offensive start by both teams, it was the Spurs defense that allowed San Antonio to prevail against the Wizards. In Portland, the Hawks got 27 points from Paul Millsap in a 115-107 win over the Blazers.

It was offensive execution, not bad defense, that allowed the two teams to shoot a combined 59 percent from the field in the first half and head into halftime tied at 58.
Later, off a missed shot, there was this alley oop layup -- not a dunk, because that would not be Spurs-esque. When San Antonio gets going like this, there’s almost nothing any team can do.

Vince is 37! And he’s doing this! In fact, he’s doing it kinda regularly! Carter’s playing a limited role for the Grizzlies and he’s putting up the lowest per-game numbers of his career, but it’s nice to see him still making contributions to a good NBA team at this stage in his career.
Also, it should be noted that the guy Carter dunks on here, Jusuf Nurkic, was born when Carter was a junior in high school.
