In perhaps the most surprising result of the night, the Warriors fell to the Jazz, 110-100, on Friday. Earlier, the Hawks kept their win streak rolling, beating the Trail Blazers, 105-99, for their 18th straight win.
Hawks win 18th straight

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY SportsIn all, six players scored in double figures for the Hawks. It was the sixth straight game in which at least five Hawks scored in double digits. In the current 18-game winning streak, five players have scored at least 10 points in 14 of those games. With a roster full of capable players and an offense of selfless ball movement, it’s easy for a new hero to emerge every night.
Derrick Rose has been making headlines more for his scoring than his passing as of late, but the guy can still distribute. This play happens quickly out of the jump ball. Rose’s court vision and quick thinking can’t be praised enough on this possession. Most impressive, though, is that Jimmy Butler turned that into an alley-oop. Rose zinged the pass toward the bucket and the athleticism of Butler allowed him to snag it out of the air at the exact right moment to slam it home all in one motion.

In all fairness, a two game win streak for the 10-37 Sixers is kind of a big deal ... but damn, that’s cold.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe image had text that said: “Be so good they can’t ignore you,” and he wrote this in the caption:
Lillard is posting better numbers this year than he did in 2014, when he was an All-Star. In 46 games this year, he’s averaging 21.8 points and 6.2 assists while shooting 43.4 percent from the field. At 32-14, the Blazers have the fourth-best record in the league and are the third seed in the Western Conference. His quote above is powerful and totally true -- by all accounts, Lillard is a great guy and someone the NBA should be proud of representing their sport for the next decade.
