Good morning. Let’s basketball.
The Warriors have already completely buried the Clippers
Good morning. We have that and more in Monday’s NBA newsletter.

FIRED KLAY: Some Clippers said something fairly innocuous about the Warriors receiving some bit of fortune on their finals run, which no one disputes. But Klay Thompson got asked about it, and so, with a mouth full of sunflower seeds he just completely nuked L.A. with a few retorts. He’s been hanging out with Draymond Green too much or something. Time after time the Warriors just punk the Clippers in front of microphones. It’s a big blowout than their season series from last year.
NOT GUILTY: Thabo Sefolosha was found not guilty on all obstruction charges by a jury of his peers on Friday. A New York City jury looked at the evidence and essentially determined that the police made stuff up to justify a fracas with Sefolosha that ended up with them breaking his leg and keeping him out of the playoffs. Sefolosha hasn’t tipped his hand as to whether he’ll seek a civil judgment, but it seems like a pretty straightforward case.
PREVIEWS: The final 10 NBA previews are coming on this week. On Friday, Paul Flannery and I tried to figure out the Kings (impossible at this point). Here’s Sactown Royalty’s preview. We also expressed some skepticism about the Raptors, though we note that Kyle Lowry can change our mind ... and Kyle Lowry’s looked fantastic in the preseason. So. Here’s Raptors HQ’s preview.
THE KING’S WIG: LeBron wore a really sweet hairpiece to a dress-up party and made fun of his own hairline.
CP3 HAS A BOO-BOO: Chris Paul fractured his index finger, but it seems completely not serious.
FOR THOSE MAVS FANS WHO ONLY WEAR HOT PINK AND LEOPARD PRINT WITH FRINGE: Mavericks fans Kate Crawford and Rebecca Lawson are rightfully annoyed at the Mavericks’ new and particularly ridiculous female fan clothing options. Some of these are *so* bad.
MONEY TALKS: Marc Stein with an update on who is most likely to sign a very large early extension before the November 2 deadline.
OPTIONS IN CHARLOTTE: Since Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out and the Hornets would like to win ASAP, At The Hive breaks down some trade targets.
OH ME OH MAYA: Game 3 of the WNBA Finals was Friday, and the Minnesota Lynx’s Maya Moore hit an incredible, Jordanesque buzzer-beating three to win it. But the Indiana Fever won Game 4 on Sunday, sending the series to a deciding Game 5 back in Minneapolis. That game is Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Swish Appeal has had marvelous coverage, as always.
JERRY LEGEND: I always get something out of reading interviews with Jerry West, and this Ethan Strauss effort is no exception.
[BIRDMAN HAND RUB]: So, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are in midseason form.
HEY JEREMY LIN: Cool bowl cut, bro.
Happy Monday. See you next time.
