Kevin Durant leaves game vs. Wizards with hamstring injury
Durant sits out second half in return to his hometown.

Durant grew up in in the Washington, D.C., area, and because he will be a free agent this summer, many Wizards fans are hoping he will return home -- much like LeBron James did in the summer of 2013.
Durant has downplayed his free agency. He called the the Wizards’ free-agent courting of him last year “disrespectful” to the current Wizards roster. Durant missed most of last year with a broken foot, but has looked like his old self this year, averaging 30.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Tuesday’s game is Durant’s only visit to Washington this season. It was cut short by the hamstring strain. Whether DC will see more of Durant next year or not will have to wait until this summer.
