Kevin Durant is off to a promising start after missing most of last year with a foot injury, but he’s already suffered another physical setback just two weeks into the new season. Durant is set to miss at least the next 7-10 days after an MRI revealed he has a strained left hamstring, according to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Thunder’s win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. Durant exited late in the first half after scoring 14 points on eight shots in 17 minutes.

The Thunder missed the postseason without Durant a year ago, but have shown how strong they can be when healthy. Oklahoma City’s 5-3 start has them tied for No. 4 in the Western Conference, while Durant’s 28.1 points per game also ranked No. 4 league-wide.

The Thunder’s schedule is manageable while Durant is projected to be out. Oklahoma City plays Philadelphia, Boston, Memphis and New Orleans, followed by the Knicks and Mavericks over the next two weeks.
