There are seven games on Tuesday night’s NBA schedule. The Hawks scored the biggest result, beating the Heat in Miami for their biggest road win of the young season. In Dallas, the Raptors put the clamps on the Mavericks in the fourth quarter to stay undefeated. In Los Angeles, the Lakers’ woes continued.
The Hawks are still elite in the East

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY SportsBut the Hawks have turned it around, ripping off four straight wins. In the win against the Heat, the Hawks looked similar to the team that streaked to 35 wins in 38 games last season -- perhaps not quite as pretty and systematic -- using a balanced attack.
They jumped out to a 11-point lead at the half and built it up to 15 in the third quarter. The Heat pulled to within four in the fourth, but could never get over that hump and the Hawks held on for a win to move to 4-1 on the season.

Kenneth Faried is used to being involved in high-flying poster dunks. Usually, however, Faried is on the side of the dunker not the guy getting dunked on. Not this time:
Julius Randle is having an excellent game and this was the exclamation point. He got poked in the eye earlier, forcing him to wear goggles in the second half. If he keeps blowing by defenders and throwing down huge dunks like this, maybe he should keep the goggles for good.

Oklahoma City went on a 15-4 run to take a five-point lead heading into the second quarter and extended their lead to eight at the half.
The lead ballooned to 15 and leading by 14 with 9:24 to play in the third quarter, Westbrook picked up his fourth foul. A little bit of hope was all the Rockets needed. They went on a 25-8 run over the final 9:24 of the quarter to take a three-point lead into the fourth.
