Good morning. Let’s basketball.
Get hyped for Mario Chalmers trade rumors!
Good morning. We have that, some dunks and more in Wednesday’s NBA newsletter.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT ... The Hornets slaughtered the Bulls to pick up their first win. A day after getting paid on a contract extension many consider too high, Jeremy Lamb dropped 20. The Pacers picked up a W, as well, ending the Pistons’ unbeaten start despite a second straight double-double animal style (25 and 29, to be exact) from Andre Drummond. The Magic sent the Pelicans to 0-4 thanks to 30 from Evan Fournier. Jeff Teague rampaged to lead Atlanta over Miami. The Raptors beat Dallas to remain unbeaten. The Kings had no chance vs. Memphis without DeMarcus Cousins (strained Achilles). And finally your Los Angeles Lakers remain winless after a loss to the Nuggets despite 30 from Jordan Clarkson.
DUNKS: Julius Randle put the hammer down on Kenneth Faried. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope unleashed an unholy tomahawk in traffic.
MMM: Spencer Dinwiddie is surreptitiously eating what is possibly Halloween candy on the Pistons bench.
UNDEFEATEDS: We’re down to three undefeated squads: the Raptors, Warriors and Clippers. We’ll have no more than two after Wednesday’s action.
WINLESS: Only four winless teams remain: the Sixers, Nets, Lakers and Pelicans. Things are getting real dicey for New Orleans ...
WHAT IF PIGS FLEW AND BREATHED FIRE? You may think the question “what if DeMarcus Cousins, not Anthony Davis, is the next great NBA big?” is ridiculous, but Paul Flannery and I discuss it all the same.
TRADE RUMOR! The Grizzlies are reportedly considering a trade for Mario Chalmers. RIP Beno Udrih.
WHAT ARE THOOOOSE: Byron Scott said he’s fine with Kobe Bryant’s shot selection. Check out these hideous Kobe shots from the first three games.
NO OLD FRIENDS: Stephen Curry talks about how a fierce on-court rivalry affects his friendship with Chris Paul.
TONIGHT: ESPN has Knicks-Cavs (8 p.m. ET) followed by the epic Warriors-Clippers clash (10:30 p.m. ET). You’re going to want to stay up late for that one ... unless Golden State opens up another 30-point lead. Raptors-Thunder and Wizards-Spurs are fun early options on League Pass.
Happy Wednesday. See you next time.
