Joakim Noah injured his left shoulder in the third quarter of the Chicago Bulls' game against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. He exited the court after his left shoulder appeared to extend too far back when he swatted the ball out of Andrea Bargnani's hands on a Bargnani drive to the basket.

The Bulls’ emotional leader exited the game in the third quarter.

Noah was in a great amount of pain. He did not return to the court.

— MarcusD (@_MarcusD_) December 22, 2015 Noah is averaging 4.5 points (a career low), 8.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He is a far cry from the player who averaged double digit points and rebounds from 2012-14 and was an MVP candidate, but he does give an emotional boost to the Bulls and was starting to find his groove.
In Noah's absence, Bobby Portis will be called in for the Bulls. The rookie has been playing great as of late, averaging 13.5 points in 13.5 minutes per game in his last 10 contests.
We will update this post with more info as it comes in.
