The struggling Suns have been dealt another tough blow with the loss of their leading scorer for the remainder of the season.

Bledsoe suffered the injury in the Suns' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers over the weekend. There was hope he'd be able to return around the All-Star break, but the decision to have the meniscus repaired rather than removed puts him out for the year.
This is Bledsoe’s third operation for a torn meniscus in his career. He had his right meniscus repaired in 2011, and then he had another surgery on that same knee in 2014 to remove part of a damaged meniscus, which kept him out about two months.
The loss of the Suns' leading scorer is another tough blow for a team that's in a tailspin. Phoenix has lost five straight games and sits at 12-21 on the season, and head coach Jeff Hornacek is on the hot seat. Hornacek's two top assistants were just fired, and he could be next if things don't improve, which will be made all the more difficult without Bledsoe.
The tricky Markieff Morris situation only adds to the drama, and while the Suns are just three games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference, management could start making moves with an eye on the future thanks to this significant injury.
