NBA 3-Point Contest 2015: Time, TV schedule, participants and more

Everything you need to know about what might be the marquee event on Saturday night

All-Star Saturday Night is usually an evening headlined by the Slam Dunk Contest. This year, though, the Three-Point Contest could be what draws the most attention and generates the most excitement among NBA fans.

The event, which will take place Saturday night, Feb. 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will feature some of the best shooters the NBA has ever seen. Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who is still searching for his first Three-Point Contest title, is the current favorite (13/4) according to OddsShark. This year, Curry is shooting 41 percent from behind the three-point line and hitting an NBA-leading 3.2 three-pointers per game. This will be his fourth time competing in the Three-Point Contest.

One of the players Curry will have to take on will be teammate Klay Thompson. Thompson, like Cavaliers guard and the 2013 Three-Point Contest winner Kyrie Irving, is currently a 4/1 bet. Thompson is one of just four players hitting more than three three-pointers per game this year and is fourth in the NBA in three-point percentage at 45 percent.

The player coming after the Warriors' Splash Brothers, and one many will be picking as their favorite, will be Hawks guard Kyle Korver. Kover, a 15/4 bet, is shooting an NBA-high 53 percent from behind the three-point line this year. He's hitting 3.1 three-pointers per game and is on track to become the first player among qualifiers ever to shoot at least 50 percent from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc and 90 percent from the free-throw line.

Rounding out the rest of the field will be Clippers guard J.J. Reddick (5/1), Spurs swingman Marco Belinelli(6/1), Blazers guard Wesley Matthews (6/1) and Rockets guard James Harden (8/1). Belinelli is the defending champion while Matthews leads the league in total three-pointers made (151) and attempted (376). Reddick is hitting 43 percent of his shots from deep, the eighth highest mark in the NBA.
