Seven minutes into Wednesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors found themselves trailing 24-4. Dallas’ 42 first quarter points were the second most any team had scored in the opening frame this season. The Warriors didn’t look like themselves.

Somewhere along the way, Steph Curry decided to change all that. Curry scored 26 points in the third quarter and finished with 51 on the night to lift Golden State to a 128-114 victory over Dallas.

Curry was on fire, draining 10-of-16 attempts from three-point range and 9-of-11 free throws. He climbed over the 50-point plateau late in the fourth quarter by crossing up Raymond Felton and dropping his final three-pointer of the night:
It’s the seventh time in NBA history a pair of teammates have each had 50-point games in the same season. Watching Curry toy with the Mavericks put in perspective how unbelievable Klay Thompson was against the Kings last month.
