Blake Griffin to return to action against Rockets
Griffin has been out since Feb. 6 after undergoing surgery to remove a staph infection on his elbow.

Griffin has been out since Feb. 6, when the announcement came that he required surgery on his elbow to remove a staph infection. There was no timetable for his return but he was expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
Since Griffin was sidelined, the Clippers have gone 9-6, remaining competitive thanks to a great stretch from DeAndre Jordan, who averaged almost 15 points and more than 18 rebounds per game during Griffin's absence. Improved performances by Jamal Crawford, Glen Davis and J.J. Redick under the leadership of Chris Paul also contributed.
The return of Griffin will allow the Clippers to slowly get back to full strength, as now only Crawford remains out with a calf injury. The team is in the middle of a battle for seeding in the Western Conference, so the return of one of their stars has been timely.
This season Griffin is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
