The Los Angeles Clippers will sign Nate Robinson to a 10-day contract, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.
Clippers will sign Nate Robinson to a 10-day contract
The athletic combo guard will have a chance to earn a roster spot for the rest of the season with the Clippers.

Robinson started the season playing for the Denver Nuggets before being traded to the Boston Celtics for Jameer Nelson. The Celtics waived him and he became a free agent until now. Robinson will reunite in Los Angeles with Doc Rivers, who coached him in a stint with the Boston Celtics in 2010. Reports say he will be available Sunday against the Golden State Warriors.
After a good 2013-14 season with the Nuggets in which he averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 19.7 minutes a game, Robinson saw his role reduced this season and his numbers suffered. It’s not surprising all he could get is a 10-day contract despite being a veteran. Now he will have a chance to prove his worth as a spark plug off the bench during Jamal Crawford’s absence.
Robinson is averaging 5.8 points and 2.3 assists in 34.8 percent shooting from the field this season.
