After signing Pau Gasol last summer, many considered the Bulls to be the favorites for the East -- even with LeBron James starting another superteam in Cleveland.
Bucks vs. Bulls 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Game 1
Can the Bulls put things together in time to challenge the two East powerhouses?

The Bulls have earned the No. 3 seed but did it unconvincingly, always giving off an impression that they could be playing better. Injuries is part of it, but even when healthy, the team feels like they could be more dangerous than they are.
It's easy to look ahead and wonder if Chicago will be able to put things together in this series in time to challenge the Cavaliers, who will likely be their second round opponent. But it's probably premature to assume that the Bulls will even win this series.
After all, Milwaukee wasn't supposed to be here. They've tailed off a bit down the stretch of the NBA season, but they've got the makings of an elite defender, acquiring as many long, lanky athletes at every position as they could. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been the star of hundreds of Vines this NBA season and there's no cap on where his ceiling could be because the NBA really has never seen a player quite like him.
Chicago is still the favorite and maybe Milwaukee can be the challenge they need to play as well as they can.
