Mavericks' wing Chandler Parsons didn't suffer any setbacks on his knee injury and will play Game 1 against the Rockets, reports ESPN's Tim McMahon.
Chandler Parsons to play Game 1 despite knee injury
Parsons will suit up for the first game of the series against the Rockets.

Parsons initially hurt his knee on March 29 but tried to play through the injury. Swelling forced him to leave the April 2 game against Houston and he hasn’t played since. There were concerns that he might miss the first game of the playoffs but he will be ready to go.
Parsons was pried away from the Rockets, the team that drafted him, by the Mavericks in the past offseason to provide some scoring punch to Dallas' perimeter. He's their third leading scorer behind Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki, averaging almost 17 points per game.
The Mavericks were starting veteran Richard Jefferson at small forward, so needless to say, having Parsons back represents a huge upgrade. It remains to be seen how effective he can be but if he's close to his usual level he should be able to help his team compete against the second-seeded Rockets.
