Pelicans vs. Warriors, 2015 NBA playoffs: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Game 2

Anthony Davis and the Pelicans try to even the series at one.

Game 1 of the Warriors-Pelicans series was strange. The Warriors came out like they normally do at home, pushing the ball, hitting shots from all over the place and making their opponent look silly. The game appeared to be over before the first quarter began.

And then Anthony Davis woke up. He scored 20 of his game-high 35 points in the game's final quarter and almost led the Pelicans back. The Warriors were eventually able to hold on for a 106-99 win, but the game had to scare them a bit.

Davis is the kind of player that no one can guard. Even Draymond Green, who may end up being named this season’s Defensive Player of the Year, can’t contain him. At 6’7 he just doesn’t have the length to keep up with the 6’10 Davis. Andrew Bogut has the height, but he doesn’t have the quickness. How the Warriors choose to defend Davis will be the most interesting thing to watch in Game 2 on Tuesday night.

Golden State has an unguardable player of its own in Stephen Curry, who went for 34 points in Game 1. Curry's partner in the backcourt, Klay Thompson, added in 21 points in Game 1.

New Orleans might have one less player to throw at the pair. Tryeke Evans left Game 1 in the second quarter with a leg injury, which was later diagnosed as a knee bruise. He’s questionable for Game 2. Evans is the team’s second-best scorer, and while he’s not the greatest defensive player, he does that enough size and quickness that he can make life difficult for opponents. His loss would be a big one for the Pelicans, who already have the odds stacked against them.

The Warriors have won 19 straight games at home. The only way that number doesn’t get to 20 is if Anthony Davis goes off.
