The idea that Derrick Rose was back after Game 1's 23-point performance might have been a bit premature. Rose isn't back, not yet and maybe not ever, and asking him to replicate his MVP season of 2011 is a huge request, anyway.

Chicago is starting to put together what could be a dangerous run.

This Rose -- not back, but fully present -- might be just fine. In Game 2, Rose couldn’t repeat his Game 1 performance but still played well enough to tally 15 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. With that all-around impact, it’s easier to account for the 4-of-14 shooting and three turnovers.
Chicago can also credit their 2-0 series lead to the performance of costar Jimmy Butler, who has 56 points combined in the two games on 18-of-33 shooting. Really, the Bulls are clicking at last. After nearly an entire season of injuries but also stretches of play where it felt like they were underperforming, Chicago appears to be putting together the ingredients for a quality playoff run.
For the Bucks, the two games in Milwaukee are a chance to slow down Chicago and earn a moral-boosting victory -- maybe even two! But this year is a freebie for Milwaukee, who had the league's worst record last season. There are no real expectations and only experienced to be gained. A win against the Bulls in a real playoff basketball game, especially a Bulls team that they can see is getting on a roll, could be great for the young team's psyche as they head into the future.
