Thursday night in the NBA Playoffs will see both the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs attempt to advance to the next round.
NBA playoffs 2015 schedule: Bulls, Spurs try to advance
The Bulls are hoping the third time is the charm against the Bucks, while the Spurs will try and finish off the Clippers.
In the first game of the night in Milwaukee, the Bulls will try for a third time to dispatch the young Milwaukee Bucks. Chicago won the first three games of the series, only to lose Games 4 and 5. No team has ever blown a 3-0 series lead, and the Bulls don't want to give the Bucks the chance to do that in a Game 7.
Derrick Rose has really struggled after exploding for 34 points in Game 3. Rose committed eight turnovers in the Game 4 loss and shot 5-of-20 in Game 5, but with two days off in between Games 5 and 6, Chicago is hoping to see a rejuvenated Rose. The point guard has performed better with more rest over the course of the season and this series, and we'll see if the trend can continue against Michael Carter-Williams and the stingy Bucks defense.
The late game features the best first-round series of the lot, with the Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers doing battle after an epic Game 5. San Antonio won that swing game in Los Angeles on the back of the ageless Tim Duncan and strong bench play, and it'll be interesting to see how the Clippers respond after such a heartbreaking loss.
Los Angeles has lost two heartbreakers at home in this series, and it will have to show the type of resolve it showed in Game 4 in San Antonio after getting destroyed in Game 3. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will need to step up, and the Clippers would like to get a little more bench production than they did in Game 5.
Thursday’s schedule (all times ET)
