Not long ago, the Chicago Bulls were in cruise control in their first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, grabbing a 3-0 lead after a thrilling double-overtime victory in Game 3. Two losses later, and the pressure is mounting on the third-seeded Bulls as they head to Milwaukee for Game 6 on Thursday night.
Bulls vs. Bucks Game 6: Time, TV schedule and how to watch NBA playoffs 2015 online
The Bulls will try once again to finish off the young and hungry Bucks.
The Bucks extended the series in Game 4 thanks to a Jerryd Bayless layup at the buzzer, and then they came up big again back in Chicago in Game 5. Milwaukee's excellent defense held the Bulls to 34 percent shooting, with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler combining to go 10-of-41 from the field.
Michael Carter-Williams had by far his best performance of the series in Game 5, nearly notching a triple-double with 22 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three blocks. Those 22 points came on an efficient 10-of-15 from the field, as he consistently took advantage of some weak defense from Rose.
No team has ever blown a 3-0 series lead in NBA history, so Chicago has to feel some pressure on the road after losing the last two games. The good news is it won’t be a typical road game because so many Bulls fans will be in Milwaukee. Also, Rose has played much better with more rest this season, so perhaps he’ll be rejuvenated after two days off.
Chicago is the better team in this series, but Jason Kidd has done a great job keeping his team motivated. The Bucks haven't quit, and their relentless defensive pressure has gotten them back in this series. Another game of that and this young team could have a chance to make history in a winner-take-all Game 7. The Bulls would certainly like to avoid that scenario.
