Hawks’ Thabo Sefolosha broke his ankle while getting arrested
Sefolosha will not play again this season after suffering a serious injury while being arrested early Wednesday morning for obstructing justice.

Sefolosha and teammate Pero Antic were arrested for obstructing justice during an incident in which Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland was stabbed outside a New York City nightclub. Police say Sefolosha charged at an officer, according to the New York Times. Sefolosha and Antic plan to contest those charges. Sefolosha was seen walking with a limp as he was detained by police.
Sefolosha is averaging five points and four rebounds in 19 minutes per game this season. He missed 23 games with a calf strain before recently returning to the lineup. The Hawks will rely more heavily on starting forward DeMarre Carroll and reserve wing Kent Bazemore with Sefolosha sidelined.
Antic was unharmed in the incident. Copeland is currently in the ICU after undergoing surgery following the stabbing.
