Cavaliers vs. Bulls 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for NBA playoffs

The Cavaliers will look to close the series with a win in Chicago.

After going up 2-1, the Chicago Bulls dropped the next two games and are now facing elimination at the hands of the Cavaliers. All the matchups except for one have been close and the Bulls' defense has found a way to limit Cleveland's attack, so Game 6 should be a battle. Whether desperation will give Chicago an edge or only exacerbate some of their problems with decision-making remains to be seen and could be the difference between the series getting back to Cleveland for a Game 7 or ending on Thursday.

LeBron James was at peak level in Game 5 to put the Cavaliers in control with a 38-point, 12-rebound, six-assist performance that was too much for Chicago to counter. After struggling with his shot at times while being defended by Jimmy Butler, James broke out. If he can play at that level once again, it will be hard for the Bulls to match the combined firepower of James and Kyrie Irving.

Chicago won't go away without a fight, of course. In Game 5 they rallied in the fourth quarter to put a scare in the Cavaliers. They will go into this win-or-go-home situation with a similar sense of urgency. Pau Gasol will return to the starting lineup after missing the last matchup, which should help steady the Bulls' offense. Derrick Rose has alternated sublime performances with uneven ones and Jimmy Butler is too busy guarding James to be a go-to scorer for an entire game, so Gasol will be relied upon to give them a reliable option in the low block when the team needs a bucket.

There are plenty of reasons for the Bulls to be optimistic. Derrick Rose should play better than he did on Tuesday, when he needed 24 shots to score 16 points. Their bench struggled mightily in Game 5 and should do better as well. The difference between the two teams just hasn’t been that big, so there’s no reason to think Chicago will fail to force a final showdown. Yet if the trends of the series continue and James delivers another inspired performance, we could have the first conference finalist decided by the end of the night.
