Stephen Curry sets new record for 3-pointers in a single postseason

All hail the new king of postseason threes.

It took Reggie Miller 22 games to set an NBA playoff record of 58 three-pointers for the Indiana Pacers in the 2000 playoffs. Now, Stephen Curry has broken that mark in just 13 games.

Curry’s second three in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets broke Miller’s record in the second quarter. He slowly came off a pick and roll deep in the backcourt with his team leading by 14 points. When Jason Terry went underneath the screen, it was over. Curry pulled up from 30 feet and swished the shot.

The Warriors hold a 2-0 lead in the series and are rolling in Game 3. As amazing as Curry’s record is, one has to think he’ll forever be a threat to break it in future playoff appearances. That’s how good he is and that’s how much basketball has changed since Miller’s heyday.
