John Wall left Game 1 of the Wizards’ second round series against the Atlanta Hawks in the second quarter with an apparent left wrist injury. Wall returned immediately after the commercial break but was grabbing his left wrist.

Wall was driving to the basket and hit the floor hard. Here’s a look at the play:

Wall was 3-for-7 with six points and six assists before the injury. Atlanta opened up a double-digit lead in the quarter and headed to halftime with a 63-53 lead. Bradley Beal (15 points) and Paul Pierce (10 points) carried Washington offensively in the opening half.

Atlanta’s offense was crisp throughout the first half. The Hawks headed into the break with 19 assists -- 10 more than Washington. DeMarre Carroll led the way with 21 points, to continue his excellent start to the playoff. Atlanta shot over 53 percent from the floor in the first two quarters.

We’ll update this story as it develops.
