NBA playoff results: Cavaliers dominate Game 2, Rockets even series with big win

Joakim Noah was probably a little angry at the state of Ohio given the current, heated Bulls-Cavs series. But he really stepped in something this time.

The Clippers had a chance to cut the Rockets’ lead to two points (or perhaps even one) with less than a minute to go in Game 2. Instead:

James scored a game-high 33 points on 13-of-29 shooting, this time with his normally trademark headband back on after he ditched it at the end of the regular season and start of the playoffs. After taking just two free throws in the first game, the Cavaliers star got to the line nine times in Game 2 and made a statement at the end of a big first half:

On the other end, Cleveland’s offense was firing on all cylinders. As promised, James was aggressive, scoring 14 points in the first quarter and also setting up teammates. Shumpert’s hot outside shooting carried over from Game 1, as he knocked down three three-pointers in the opening frame. Thanks to that duo, the Cavaliers ran out to a 38-18 advantage after one.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert exited in the third quarter against the Chicago Bulls in Game 2 after appearing to pull his groin. Shumpert headed to the locker room and returned later in the game.

Chris Paul will not play in the Clippers’ Game 2 against the Rockets on Wednesday night, coach Doc Rivers told reporters in his pregame media availability. This comes after Rivers suggested earlier in the day that Paul would probably sit out.

“I pretty much doubt it just from talking to him. But we’ll see how he moves around,” Rivers said of Paul’s Game 2 status on Wednesday morning.

LeBron has a long history of dunking on the Bulls. Add this to the list.

What you’re looking at is a cryotherapy chamber that LeBron James uses to trick his body into thinking it’s freezing. The chambers gets to around minus-300 degrees and James and other athletes will typically stay in a machine like this for two or three minutes. It apparently helps his body recover from overexertion.

Professional teams use things like this all the time -- anything to gain an edge, really. The Anaheim Angels do, too. As do the Phoenix Suns:
