Iman Shumpert will play against the Bulls in Game 3 on Friday after pulling his groin in Game 2, coach David Blatt told reporters. The Cavaliers will monitor his progress and may not even start him.
Iman Shumpert will play for Cavaliers in Game 3
Shumpert left Game 2 with a groin pull, but returned later on.

Shumpert suffered the injury when it appeared he stepped on the foot of his defender. He left the game in the third quarter but later returned for the Cavaliers’ 106-91 win that tied the series up at one, finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds in 29 minutes. Here’s the play he was injured on.
Shumpert has been excellent in the playoffs, averaging 11 points and five rebounds on 46 percent shooting while also making 10-of-25 from behind the three-point line. His presence gives the Cavaliers another top defender to switch onto Jimmy Butler or Derrick Rose, which helps keep LeBron James from wearing down as fast throughout the course of a game.
It's not clear if Shumpert or the returning J.R. Smith will start.
