The New York Liberty named Isiah Thomas president and part owner last month. Now the WNBA is set to evaluate Thomas as questions about a sexual harassment lawsuit from 2007 continue to hover over the Hall of Fame point guard.
WNBA to evaluate Isiah Thomas’ ownership stake in New York Liberty
The six-member board includes only two women.


Thomas has continued to deny culpability for a case brought forth by former Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders. Browne Sanders won the case and Madison Square Garden had to pay $11.5 million. Thomas was fired as a Knicks executive after five seasons in 2008.
The board that will vet Thomas’ ownership interest includes only two women of its six members. Here’s a look at the press release from the WNBA:
