Cavaliers vs. Warriors, NBA Finals 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Game 5

The Warriors host the Cavaliers in a pivotal Game 5.

SB Nation's 2015 NBA Finals Guide

The Warriors made a drastic adjustment by changing their starting lineup in Game 4 and it worked out perfectly for them as they managed to tie the series. Andre Iguodala had a fantastic night in Andrew Bogut's stead, containing LeBron James and leading Golden State in scoring with 22 points. Now, it will be the Cavaliers' turn to counter and find a way to punish Golden State for going small. The winner of Game 5 will be just one triumph away from an NBA championship, so the stakes have not been higher this season.

The Cavaliers were clearly exhausted on Thursday after playing three games in five nights and didn't show the physicality that characterized their efforts in previous matchups. That can't happen again if they hope to beat a more talented and deeper Warriors team, which is why the two-day layoff could be huge for Cleveland. Fresher legs could help J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova hit some of the open shots James creates for them and the whole team should be energized and focused on getting back on defense and crashing the offensive glass after some rest.

For the Warriors the key will be to remember what worked on Game 4 and continue to do it. The rotations after doubling James need to be crisp to prevent the Cavaliers' shooters from breaking out of their slump. Whenever there is a miss, they need to continue to push the pace and their frontcourt players need to try to match Cleveland's physicality inside despite being at a height disadvantage. Iguodala won't likely shoot 4-for-9 from outside but if he can keep James from having another scoring explosion, Stephen Curry should be able to take care of the offense.

The momentum changed with Golden State’s win on Thursday and could change again on Sunday. If the Cavaliers win they will prove that Game 4 was an outlier and will have a chance to close the series out at home. If the Warriors take the series lead, that could be confirmation that they’ve finally figured out how to beat Cleveland. It’s the biggest game of the year for both teams and a can’t-miss affair for fans.
