Warriors fans will be happy with Game 6’s ref assignments
Scott Foster is the lead official for Game 6, and road teams have enjoyed a ton of success in Foster’s games this postseason.
The Golden State Warriors will look to finish off the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night, and the Warriors should feel pretty good about their chances of earning their first championship in 40 years. Not just because the Warriors are the better team in this series, but because Scott Foster is the lead official for Game 6.
People like to make a big fuss when Joey Crawford officiates games, but there’s actually a very clear trend going with Foster’s games this postseason. That trend involves the road team going 11-1 in games he’s officiated in the playoffs.
This very well could mean nothing, but it’s an interesting trend nonetheless. We can’t really say for sure whether Foster has been favoring the road team because we don’t have a complete breakdown of all his calls in these playoffs. However, you do have to wonder given that high winning percentage for the road squads.
