The Denver Nuggets have made Danilo Gallinari available for a trade, according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears. Gallinari is just the latest in the line of key Nuggets players reportedly put on the block as they look to rebuild their roster.
Nuggets put Danilo Gallinari on the trade block, according to report
Gallinari began to look like himself at the end of last season after dealing with nagging knee problems, but now the Nuggets have made him available.

Gallinari has dealt with numerous knee problems over the last few years, undergoing two surgeries on his left knee and then another one on his right knee. However, after struggling at the beginning of this past season as he continued to deal with knee issues, the 26-year-old began to look more like himself during the second half of the year, averaging nearly 19 points on 44 percent shooting overall and 40 percent from three.
Gallinari will be on an expiring contract next year worth $11.56 million, so there could be numerous teams willing to take a chance on the talented Italian, using next season as a chance to prove he can stay healthy and continue producing at the level he did post-All-Star break. If he did that, he’d be in line for a nice contract when the salary cap explodes in 2016.
This report comes on the heels of Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly talking about how he wanted to keep Gallinari in Denver. The Nuggets may want to keep Gallinari around, but perhaps they’re just gauging the market to see what kind of value they could get for him.
