Jazz trying to trade Trey Burke on draft day, per report
The Jazz are trying to become a playoff team and have no time to develop Burke.

The Utah Jazz are attempting to trade 22-year-old point guard Trey Burke and could try to get it done on draft day, reports Deseret News' Jody Genessy.
Burke just completed his second season with the team after being selected No. 9 overall in the 2013 draft. He has struggled at claiming the starting position and was relegated to the bench at the end of last year in favor of fellow lottery pick Dante Exum. Burke is still young and has shown flashes of talent as a playmaker, but he shot just 37 percent from the floor and 32 percent from beyond the arc in his sophomore season.
After a slow start, the Jazz finished last season on a tear and will be looking to make a playoff push in 2015-16. They simply don’t have the time to let Burke figure things out now that their timeline for relevance has accelerated, so it makes sense for them to try to move him while he still has value.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Jazz make other moves as well. They have been rumored to be trying to trade up from the No. 12 slot on the draft and might consider trading Derrick Favors to make room for a potential reunion with free agent and former Jazz player Paul Millsap.
