Wizards trade for Atlanta’s No. 15 pick, select Kelly Oubre

Washington completes the second trade of the draft night.

The Washington Wizards have traded two future second-rounders and the No. 19 pick for the Atlanta Hawks’ No. 15 pick, and taken Kelly Oubre, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The price of two second-rounders is not a significant cost for the Wizards to move up four spots when considering Oubre is clearly a player they covet. The Hawks, less excited about the draft board, drop back four selections and hope whoever they like is still on the board at No. 19.

Oubre is a forward out of Kansas who does a little bit of everything, including shoot from the perimeter (36 percent in his one season) and rebound (five per game in just 21 minutes of action).

It’s the second trade of the night for an NBA draft that is surprisingly light on picks being exchanged. Earlier in the night, the Bucks acquired Greivis Vasquez from Toronto in another minor deal. You can follow the picks here.
