2015 NBA Draft results: Cedi Osman goes No. 31 to Cavaliers
Cleveland gets a European player to open the second round.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have selected Turkish swingman Cedi Osman to open the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft, with a pick that originally belonged to Minnesota.
After selecting Tyus Jones, the Cavaliers traded the pick to Minnesota in exchange for two of their second rounders. One of them was the No. 31 selection, which turned into the draft-and-stash Osman. He’ll stay in the Turkish league he’s currently playing in, for now.
The Cavaliers are hoarding cap space and trading into the second round -- particularly to draft a player who won’t come over immediately, like Osman -- which gives them much more flexibility. With the No. 36 pick, the other one gained in the move with the Timberwolves, Cleveland can grab an American player and still have the maximum amount of cap space.
The pick opened up the second round after a relatively quiet first round that featured only three small trades among teams.
