2015 NBA Draft results: Pistons select Darrun Hilliard with pick No. 38
Hilliard is the biggest reach of the draft so far, but in the second round that’s not always a bad thing.

The Detroit Pistons have selected Darrun Hilliard with the No. 38 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.
Hilliard spent four years at Villanova as a 6’6 guard, averaging 15 points his senior season on 44 percent shooting from the floor and 39 percent from behind the arc. He’s 22 and said before the draft that he had about 16 pre-draft workouts, but generally, NBA experts did not expect him to go so high in the draft.
The Pistons have a couple of guards in Brandon Jennings and Reggie Jackson, but second rounders are really only there to provide depth. Hilliard can provide some scorer and shooting off the bench, perhaps developing into a quality NBA role player in a few years. With a second round pick, that's all you can really ask for.
