DeAndre Jordan has added the Knicks to the group of teams he will meet with in Los Angeles on Wednesday, reports ESPN's Chris Broussard. He will also meet with the Mavericks and Lakers on Wednesday before discussing the possibility of re-signing with the Clippers on Thursday, per the Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner.
The Knicks want DeAndre Jordan to be their No. 2 offensive option, per report
The 26-year-old big man has a lot of options to choose from in free agency.

Knicks president Phil Jackson, along with general manager Steve Mills and coach Derek Fisher, will make the trip. Carmelo Anthony has already reached out, according to the report. Wednesday is the first day teams can meet free agents and the Knicks are being proactive, scheduling some face-to-face time with LaMarcus Aldridge in their trip to Los Angeles as well.
Jordan is coming off a career year in which he finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting and led the league in rebounds per game and field goal percentage. He had his best moments with Blake Griffin out of the lineup, which along with a rumored rift with Chris Paul fueled speculation that leaving the Clippers is a real possibility. The Knicks are pitching him the chance to be a second option instead of a third one as one of the main selling points.
While Jordan is far from the best fit for the triangle offense, the Knicks finished 28th in the league last season in defensive efficiency and total rebound percentage. Signing Jordan would immediately address those issues.
