LeBron James has taken 73 shots through two games against the Golden State Warriors. Normally that's a number that might upset teammates, but ever the brilliant tactician, LeBron found a way to make sure the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers don't mind standing around on offense: lavish them with lots and lots of gifts.
LeBron James gave every teammate a special gift before the NBA Finals
J.R. Smith now can’t wait to return to the Cavaliers next year.

James and Beats, which is owned by Apple, handed out Apple Watches and Samsung Galaxy Edge phones before Game 1 on Thursday, according to Chris Haynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group. They handed them out last week in a lounge James rented out at the Four Seasons hotel in San Francisco, where the team was staying. James, according to Haynes, also brought in some barbers, as well as food and drinks, to help the Cavaliers relax before the start of the NBA Finals.
The plan is working.
"I don't know how he does it, but every day it's something different," J.R. Smith said to Haynes. "Watches, sneakers, Beats [headphones], hoodies, book-bags. Man, I can't wait to come back next year. I want to see what we're getting next year."
Even Brendan Haywood, who has played just 119 minutes all season, received gifts.
“Look, LeBron is probably the greatest player in the world who gives out gifts like it’s candy,” Haywood told Haynes. “We look forward to it every single time.”
UPDATE: A representative for LeBron James said that Beats provided the watches as gifts, not James himself. James instead handed out Samsung Galaxy Edge phones.
