Warriors vs. Cavaliers, 2015 NBA Finals: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Game 3

After a gutsy victory in Oakland, the Cavaliers will try to get the series lead in Cleveland.

SB Nation's 2015 NBA Finals Guide

The Cleveland Cavaliers, missing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, got the biggest win in franchise history on Sunday when they beat the Golden State Warriors in overtime. Now they need to protect their homecourt if they hope to pull off the unimaginable and beat Golden State in the NBA Finals despite missing two stars. Game 3 will be pivotal in a series where the difference between the two teams has been almost nonexistent.

LeBron James is carrying Cleveland, first scoring a season-high 44 points in the first matchup and then posting a triple-double on Game 2. In 50 minutes on the court, James accounted for 68 of the Cavaliers' 95 points either by scoring or assisting. It was a monster performance by James but he can't rest on his laurels -- his team will need at least three more of those to have a legitimate chance of hoisting the Larry O'Brian trophy.

While James was destroying everyone in his path, league MVP Stephen Curry struggled to give his squad the push it so desperately needed. Curry finished 5-of-23 from the floor -- including 0-of-4 in overtime -- and looked nothing like the player that took the league by storm this season. If not for Klay Thompson’s 34 points, the Warriors might not have been able to even force an extra period. With Irving out, Golden State has a huge edge at point guard and Curry’s play needs to reflect that for his team to get back on track.

It’s impossible to know what to expect from a finals series that has been so unpredictable so far, other than both teams treating each game as if it were the last. The Warriors should be able to beat this iteration of the Cavaliers easily, but James is almost single-handedly preventing them from doing so. Tuesday could be the night in which he finally fails or the moment in which he adds another chapter to his legend.
