Denver Nuggets first-round pick Emmanuel Mudiay showed off his point guard skills with a double-double in the team's 98-76 win over the Sacramento Kings at the Las Vegas Summer League on Sunday. Mudiay, the No. 7 overall selection, put up 19 points and 10 assists to power his team to a second straight win in the desert.

Emmanuel Mudiay was the star of the Las Vegas Summer League on Sunday.
For a player known more as a scorer than a passer after playing overseas in China instead of going to college, Mudiay is proving he can also dish it:
That kind of vision and passing ability coming from a potent 6’5 scorer explains why Mudiay is one of the most exciting prospects entering the NBA this year. The Nuggets ended up having seven different players score in double digits thanks to Mudiay’s swift running of the offense, and even if it’s Las Vegas, it’s hard not to get excited about a young player looking so good early on.
The player picked right before Mudiay, big man Willie Cauley-Stein, put up 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting in 22 minutes for Sacramento. That’s pretty good, although the one rebound isn’t so impressive.
Jonathan Simmons is Las Vegas’ dunk master
Even the Summer League can produce some amazing highlights, especially in the case of San Antonio Spurs guard Jonathan Simmons. Cracking one of the NBA's most stacked rosters might be a long shot, but Simmons' ridiculous dunks in Las Vegas have been worth the price of admission.

Wizards go cold as ice in 20-point loss
Not everyone on the D-League All-Stars had a great day, but the team sure fared better than the Washington Wizards in a 94-74 win. Washington's summer crew shot horribly from three (1-of-17) and in general (18-of-72), and scored exactly half of its points from the free throw line. If it weren't for the Wiz being gifted the opportunity to go 37-of-44 from the charity stripe, this game could have looked even sadder.
Wizards assistant coach Howard Eisley, who's leading the team in Las Vegas, didn't have a ton of positive things to say following the game. Jarrid Famous led Washington with 21 points, while first-round pick Kelly Oubre Jr. added 18 points but shot just 5-of-17. Scotty Hopson and Romero Osby led the D-Leaguers with a combined 38 points in the game.
