Lavoy Allen has agreed to re-sign with the Indiana Pacers on a three-year deal worth $12 million, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. The deal with have a team option in the final year.

The 26-year-old Allen was drafted by the Sixers No. 50 overall in 2011 and was traded with Evan Turner midway through the 2013-14 season. While he played sparingly in his first season there, Allen saw his minutes pick up last year when he played 63 games and averaged 17 minutes a night.
Allen’s a flexible big, who can play power forward or give teams a few minutes as a 6’9 center (his 7’3 wingspan helps him in that capacity). He’s an above average rebounder on both sides of the floor and best when turning misses into second chance points. While the Pacers are attempting to speed up their style next season, Allen still brings some of that famous Indiana grit.
Contracts can only be verbally agreed upon until the NBA moratorium on officially signing deals is lifted on July 9.
