The Professor is going back to work. Andre Miller has agreed to a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Shams Charania of Real GM. The one-year deal will pay the veteran minimum, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo NBA.

Miller will turn 40 years old in March. This will be his 17th season in the NBA after being drafted with the No. 8 overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 1999. This will be the eighth different franchise he’s played for in his career. Last season, Miller averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 assists per game playing for both the Wizards and Kings.
Miller will join a Timberwolves point guard rotation that already includes Ricky Rubio and rookie Tyus Jones. Miller will be expected to tutor both and provide guidance to a young Minnesota team in general. With Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine and No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns also set to play prominent roles, the Timberwolves will have the youngest core in the NBA.
