Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with felony possession of marijuana and a Schedule I drug, after police reportedly found approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA -- a.k.a, "Molly" -- in a car he was riding in, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The driver, Scott’s brother Antonn Imhotep Scott, allegedly failed to yield to police and drove away at speeds up to 98 mph for two miles before stopping.

Police initially tried to pull the Chevrolet Tahoe at 9 a.m. ET for following too closely behind other vehicles. In the car, deputies found more than an ounce of marijuana in addition to the MDMA. Scott’s brother was charged with following too closely and fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers in addition to drug possession.

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer gave a statement, saying, "We are aware of the situation involving Mike Scott this morning. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not have any additional comment at this time."

Scott has played three seasons in the NBA, all for the Hawks. He signed a three-year deal worth $10 million with Atlanta before the 2014-15 season, then went on to average 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game to help the Hawks earn the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the NBA Playoffs.
