Orlando Summer League, the smaller of the three summer circuits, kicked off Saturday with all 10 teams playing one another. Mario Hezonja, the highest draft pick playing in the league at No. 5 overall, nailed a game-winning three-pointer at the end of his game, providing the appropriate fireworks for the Fourth of July.

Three games are scheduled for the second day of the Orlando Summer League.

Three games will take place on Sunday, and while Hezonja isn’t playing, there’s some other names worth keeping an eye on. All NBA Summer League games can be viewed by purchasing NBA Summer League Live and some may be shown on NBA TV.
Players to watch: Nate Wolters was calm and fully under control in the Clippers' first game on Saturday. He scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished four assists and picked up four steals, as well. A two-year NBA veteran like him should dominate Summer League as he tries to catch on with an NBA team. Pistons first round pick Stanley Johnson had an efficient debut on Saturday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Curiously, he didn't start and played just 24 minutes off the bench. Spencer Dinwiddie had 14 for Detroit in their opening game, but also added eight fouls (you get 10 in summer league) and six turnovers, which is the sloppy play veterans should try to avoid in these games.
Players to watch: In the Hornets' first game, Frank Kaminsky put up 19 points, although it took 19 shots to get there. He did hit 4-of-8 on his three-pointers, showing that he'll probably take that step out to the NBA three-point line just fine. Charlotte's P.J. Hairston wasn't even less efficient, scoring 13 points on 3-of-11 shooting while turning it over four times. Poor shooting and turnovers plagued Hairston last year in Las Vegas, so while it's only been one game, it's disappointing to see the same issues pop up. For Memphis in their opening game, Jarnell Stokes and Jordan Adams both played well, with Stokes recorded 16 points and seven rebounds while Adams hit 10-of-10 from the free throw line on his way to a 20-point night.
Players to watch: Justise Winslow was unspectacular but efficient in his Summer League debut for Miami. After slipping in the draft, Winslow didn't force anything, just scoring 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting with no turnovers and three assists. Zoran Dragic played well, too, scoring 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the Nets' first round selection, hit a three-pointer during his relatively quiet debut. He had nine points, three rebounds and two assists. Watch for Cliff Alexander, whose stock plummeted so far that he surprisingly went undrafted.
