NBA Summer League schedule 2015: Multiple lottery picks in action Wednesday

Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, Justise Winslow and Myles Turner will all be in action on Wednesday in Orlando.

Wednesday marks Day 5 of the Orlando Summer League, and a host of 2015 lottery picks will be in action during the three games across the afternoon.

In fact, Wednesday will feature four players who were picked consecutively in the 2015 NBA Draft in Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, Justise Winslow and Myles Turner. All four players have shown flashes of their potential in Orlando, and they'll get a chance to show more on Wednesday.

All three games will be on NBA TV, and they can be watched online with NBA Summer League Live.

Magic White vs. Hornets, 1 p.m. ET

Players to watch: The Hornets didn’t make a trade on draft night because they liked Frank Kaminsky so much, and the ninth pick has been productive thus far in Orlando. He put up 19 points and 12 rebounds in his debut, and he’s averaging a shade under 15 points in three games. He’s shown some nice touch from deep, as he’s 6-of-13 from three-point range.

Michigan State product Keith Appling has also played well, averaging 17 points in two games thanks to his ability to get to the free throw line. Appling has shot 21 free throws in two games.

Pacers vs. Pistons, 3 p.m. ET

Players to watch: Stanley Johnson has been dynamite for the Pistons, showing why Stan Van Gundy took him eighth overall. Johnson's averages of 17 points and 6.7 rebounds is impressive enough, but he's scoring those points on superb efficiency, making 19-of-27 shots in three games. His 9-of-16 mark from the line isn't good, but he's made 4-of-8 from three.

Myles Turner will need to step up with the departures of Roy Hibbert and David West, and Turner has played well in Orlando, averaging 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds to go along with nine total blocks in two games. Turner has made 14-of-22 shots and has showed his touch from deep by making both of his threes.

Clippers at Heat, 5 p.m. ET

Players to watch: Justise Winslow hasn’t been as impressive as Stanley Johnson, but Winslow has had his moments nonetheless. Winslow is averaging 15.3 points in three games, and while he’s shooting just over 36 percent from the field, he’s made up for that by displaying a knack for getting to the free throw line. He’s 21-of-30 from the charity stripe in Orlando.

The Clippers don't have any high-profile players on their Summer League roster, but last year's first-round pick C.J. Wilcox put up 22 points in his last game after two so-so showings.
