Luis Scola has agreed to a one-year deal worth $3 million with the Toronto Raptors. The news was first reported by Scola on his Twitter account and the details of the contract by Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Luis Scola agrees to 1-year, $3 million deal with the Raptors
Scola will bring a veteran presence to the Raptors’ big man rotation.

Scola spent the last two seasons with the Pacers. In his first year he struggled, putting career-low scoring and rebounding numbers on a small role. Last year he bounced back, averaging nine points and six rebounds a game while playing 20 minutes off the bench.
Scola became a free agent and initially it appeared he would return to Indiana but with the Pacers going young, he never received an offer. The Raptors, which had lost Amir Johnson and Tyler Hansbrough in free agency, pounced at the chance to get a solid veteran on a good salary.
In Toronto Scola will likely back up Patrick Patterson, offering dependable post scoring and a pick and pop option. Defensively the 35-year-old can't offer much, as he's ground-bound and not particularly strong, but his basketball IQ prevents him from being a big drain to his team.
The Raptors will miss Johnson but with the additions of Scola and Bismack Biyombo they are putting together a solid big man rotation.
